Lexie Lee plays Saigon

 

The Beats Saigon will continue bringing international acts to Vasco’s this month with a trio of DJs on Saturday May 9.

 

Heading the line-up is the well-known Jamaican disc spinner, Lexie Lee. The self-styled queen of dancehall, she will be stopping by to perform her mix of hardcore dancehall, hip hop and electronic pop fresh off an appearance at Gilles Peterson's World Music festival in Singapore. Also on the decks will be the night’s host, Shamik. A beat boxer from Canada, he has recently performed with the likes of DJ Qbert and DJ Kentaro. For more info go to www.myspace.com/teamshamik.

Finally, and no stranger to spinning tunes in Saigon, is Manila-based DJ RED-1, who will be bringing with him his eclectic style of mixing.

Entry for the night is VND150,000 (including one drink) and the above line-up will also be supported by local DJs.
