DJ Ravin at FTV

DJ Ravin, the co-founder of the Buddha Bar compilations, will be playing on Wednesday Mar. 25 at FTV Bar.
Born in the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius, Ravin moved to France as a teenager where he developed his childhood passion: music. Working on his DJing skills, he managed to get slots at the infamous Wiz Bombino parties of the 1980s were he met Claude Challe, the owner of Les Bains Douches, one of hottest Parisian nightspots of the time. Challe introduced him to electronic fusion and world music.
Collaborating on a number of records, in the late 1990s the pair had the idea of putting together the Buddha Bar compilations. The first two were worked on as a partnership and since then DJ Ravin has continued the series.
Besides his work in the studio, DJ Ravin travels the globe, appeating in some of the worlds most exclusive clubs. He has been brought in for this event by FTV.
