La Ha 139 Ly Tu Trong, Q1 One of the better swimwear tailors on this street. As with other tailors, take a design and choose a fabric. Be warned, if you are large-sized the staff don’t tend to help as much, but do persist. A bespoke bikini costs VND250,000.
Qua Quyt 171 Le Thanh Ton, Q1 Specialising in tailor-made shoes, predominately women’s high-heeled shoes. You choose the colour and design. Great for people with not so dainty feet, and reasonably priced.
T&V Tailor 39 Dong Du, Q1 Tel: 3824 4556 Stylish tailor shop set up by two Vietnamese sisters. Designs are fresh and interesting, with pretty halter dresses and modern twists on mens shirts, the selection of fabric is endless. Prices are slightly higher than the average tailor in town with shirts starting at US$20.
Tailor Dung 221 Le Thanh Ton, Q1 Tel: 3829 6778 Well-known men’s tailor, who will keep your measurements on file for next time a suit is required. Can take a few weeks to finish but the quality makes up for it. their previous location on Hai Ba Trung. The new shop is not as big and has fewer selections than the old location. Pastel– coloured knits and dresses are available. |
